This is the page of the mini-colloquium M06 – Interaction effects in correlated systems with higher-order Van Hove singularities and flat bands at the OePG-CMD32-Graz 2026 conference!
Recent advances highlight the central role of Fermi‑surface topology, van Hove and higher‑order singularities, and flat bands in correlated electron systems. In materials ranging from ruthenates and heavy fermions to moiré lattices, these features drive strong electronic instabilities and emergent phases. This mini‑colloquium addresses their experimental detection, tunability, theoretical modelling, and materials design.
